Three Kings Fiesta
5th January – The arrival of the Three Kings. It’s the Spanish Christmas Eve, where a procession of floats leave the Balcon de Europa at approximately 5.00pm and make their way around the streets throwing sweets to the children. Many children and adults alike dress up and take part in the procession |

Carnival Time
9th February – Carnival. A big carnival procession with Carnival King and Queen goes through town starting at Tutti Frutti square about 6.00pm and finishing at the Balcon de Europa at about 9pm then all off to the Fair, which this year was held in Plaza del Olvido. The fair is usually here for a week or so. |

Semana Santa
March/April - Holy Week (Easter). About 60 hooded men carry a huge float of the Virgin Mary from the El Salvador church to the sea and back again. Quite a spectacular religious event and well worth the visit.

Fiesta of San Antonio
On 13th June, the patron saint San Antonio is celebrated in the densely populated neighbourhood of Ntra. Sra. De las Nieves, with a country party and with three days of fair in Torrox. |

Festival of Dance
15th August – Festival of Dance. Held at Frigiliana. A night of traditional Spanish music and dancing |

Candalaria (Bonfire Night)
7th to 9th September, Virgen de la Candelaria celebrations, La Candelaria is celebrated with bonfires, drinking, dancing and singing late into the night.

New Years Eve
31st December – Party on the Balcon. A collection of nationalities joins together with the locals to celebrate the New Year on the Balcon. Its tradition to have 12 ripe grapes (one for each chime of midnight) and a bottle of champagne to wash it down. There is live entertainment throughout the night into the early hours of the morning.
